Your Heart Thunders

Rustling clothes, lowered voices, quickened breathing.
Rumpled blankets, flattened pillows, soft bed.
Dim lights, flickering candles, dancing shadows.
Sweat-glistened skin, tousled hair, silken sheets.
Sliding, touching, pushing, feeling.

He whispers in your ear
Not to worry,
Nothing to fear,
He'll be gentle.
Your heart thunders in your ear.

Tearing skin, searing pain, waves of pleasure.
Smell of sweat, of sex, of acrid flames.
Groaning, moaning, feral noises in the night.
Salt tears in dry mouth, sweet saliva on trembling lips.
Tumbling, twisting, tumultuous mind.

He whispers in your ear,
Asks if you're okay,
If it felt good,
Asks again if you're okay.
Your heart thunders in your ear.
